Tom Horner doesn't minced words in our latest overland vehicle walkaround video. He has two themes that define his 2021 diesel Jeep Rubicon overland rig: ( 1.) Bundutec products, and ( 2.) any gear or customizations that are quick and easy to use.
Bundutec is a South African company well known for it's high-quality camping and outdoor adventure equipment - particularly for its roof-top tents and off-road trailers. And Tom's Jeep is decked out with some prominent Bundutec gear including:
- BunduTec roof top tent with automated opening and closing,
- BunduTec suite that can work in conjunction with the roof top tent.
- BunduTec 360 Awning that keeps the vehicle cool inside and out.
As you can see Tom is more than a BunduTec fan - it's essential for his laid back style of adventure travel!
His Jeep customizations also include a number of Mopar products, including: front steel bumper, steel light bar, and suspension with a 2.5 inch lift. The Rubicon usually comes with a 33" tire but Tom chose the larger 35".
He also uses KC HiLiTES® lights, Outback Adventure Products Trailgater tailgate table, a KickAss 12v electric Travel Oven, weBoost cell phone signal booster, and his own DIY drawers - because everything he found on the market was either too heavy or too expensive.
Tom is also rocking some Blue Ridge Overland Gear vehicle storage solutions to keep his adventure gear easy to access and quick to deploy, including the:
- Cooking Kit Bag
- Headrest Trash Bag
- Jeep JLU Attic
- Recovery Strap Bag
- MOLLE Visor Organizers
- Headrest IFAK Kit
