Five Experts Weigh In: What Is Overlanding?
As overlanding continues to gain attention in mainstream culture, newbies and diehard adventure travel enthusiasts alike are wrangling over this burning question: "What is overlanding?" How do we define a lifestyle steeped in off-roading, backwoods camping, and using your vehicle as a basecamp to have awesome outdoor adventures? Is it just car camping, or is there more to it?
We asked five overlanding experts to define what overlanding means to them and found their answers to be thought provoking, insightful, and although somewhat different, also landed on some common themes.
Overlanding may mean different things to different people, but at it's core it's all about vehicle based adventure travel and exploring new horizons.
