Chip Hurley didn't believe it at first, but once he realized the online Craigslist ad was the real deal, he made his way from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Phoenix, Arizona to snag a perfectly preserved vintage 1990 Ford E250, Sportsmobile van. After spending 25 years in a plane hangar, and with only 56,000 miles behind it, this four-wheel-drive Sportsmobile was just what he was looking for.
With only minor work done to the hood, and a new Warn hub system, all the original equipment of this vintage van is still in tact. Even the built-in, on-board generator still kicks on the power with the flick of a switch. Featuring two beds, a mini-kitchen, a pop-up top, and more, this is one of the truly great grandaddies of overlanding vehicles.
