Blacksmith and Overlander - featuring Matt Sieber

Matt Sieber of Willway Forge is a regular at our annual OAR flea market and other Blue Ridge Overland Gear events. He's a unique mix of adventure lover and blacksmith - bringing his mobile blacksmith studio with him right inside his truck!

For a long time Matt had been intrigued by blacksmithing, and in 2010 he dove head first into the craft. For him bending steel is a form of therapy and creative expression - a hands on approach to life. His love for adventure also has a part to play in living the good life, getting him outdoors into the wild beauty of nature. It's all about doing what you love!

Living in a truck for extended periods of time is what Matt calls "living small". He believes there's only two ways to go about living small as an overlander - being super organized or letting your gear turn into a chaotic mess.

In this video Matt shares about the importance of keeping all his gear in order while working on the road as a blacksmith, why he uses Blue Ridge Overland Gear products, and what happens when you drive over one of our Tool Bags with your Jeep!
