You ran out of gas. It’s well past midnight. You can hear them coming…the zombies. Luckily you also hear a river close by. That’s your ticket to safety. You quickly rouse the kids and hand each of them their individually labeled mesh summer bag which was packed earlier that day with the bare essentials for a day on the water. Today those essentials take on a whole new meaning. You dismount the two kayaks mounted on the roof of your car and you drag them to the shore as fast as you can.
